Rotnick Reference
And here's a turnaround for Rotnick. It was a bit challenging to get some other expressions out of him. And of him sitting. Otherwise a good accomplishment for keeping a consistent design.

Rotnick the Relentless
Hey, I still have this thing!
Rotnick is a codgery old dragon who likes nothing more than to drone on and on about the good old days. When dragons where feared and respected. Not trivialized like if it was your pet dog that can be taught to roll over and play dead. Train your dragon. Pah! And you know what else? There wasn't any of this "friendship" mumbo-jumbo. You can go make friends with a unicorn or a jackalope, but not dragons. They don't need your companioship. No sirree. Dragons are perfectly fine living a solitary lifestyle without any of your drama. You can keep your feelings to yourself. And what is this with princesses getting all friendly with dragons nowadays? Yeah, he has a relentless mouthful to tell you, hence why he is the relentless. So find a seat and get comfy.

"Good Morning Gator!" Mug Design
You can now buy your own mug and enjoy a cup of coffee with a groggy gator! Or use it as a pencil holder on your desk and stuff it with chewed-up pencils! Either way, it's a versatile mug. Try one!
Kumah the Portly Killer Whale
I see a lot of funky-looking and fantastic designs of killer whales. Some of them with exaggerated bulk. So I was inspired to draw this!

Meet Roek
This is another one of my characters who deserves a little more attention these days. Originally this was a creature concept I made up in 2006 for a video game called Spore. Yes, I was following that game for that long.
Since then I modified the design so much since then. I called them Sombrerons, named for their hat-like head they had for their first design. For the most part, I maintained their peculiar way of locomotion. They walk with their hands, grab and hold with their feet.
Initially this may seem challenging trying to figure out how these guys deal with day-to-day life. How they interact with things and how they use tools or drive vehicles. It was sort of an interesting project, and still is. Nowadays I like to switch things up and occasionally have them interact with their limbs like normal humans do. Mostly because it's still hard trying to figure out how they do everything with their feet. :P

I am very much drawn to Florian Satzinger's drawing style. The simplicity and contrasting shapes of his characters are just so appealing and awesome. So I tried drawing one of my own characters, mixing a bit of Satzinger flair.
I should probably introduce you to Keel here. A space gator that loves to play. He'll be a reoccurring subject from time to time, and will be official mascot and spokesgator to this blog. Say hello!
I also have a few other lovely interpretations of him by the very gifted L. Frostad. I highly suggest you follow her blog. IMMENSELY!
